Platform: Exchange 5.5 and Exchange 2003

My ADC has the incorrect port defined in the connection aggrement for Config
CA. I think it was fat fingered by someone. On the connections tab, in the
Exchange Server information part, the port says 379 not 389 and it is all
greyed out (I can't change it). Any ideas?

I'm getting these errors:

Event Type: Error
Event Source: MSADC
Event Category: LDAP Operations
Event ID: 8026
Date: 1/13/2005
Time: 8:40:14 AM
User: N/A
Computer: <server name>
Description:
LDAP Bind was unsuccessful on directory <server name> for distinguished name
"<user name>. Directory returned error:[0x51] Server Down.

Thanks for all your help,

Eddie

first of all, config_CA was created automatically
second, what you see is correct, port 379 is your SRS port
make sure your SRS is running on first e2k3 in the site
FYI, 389 is ldap port for DC

Someone else set this up and I saw the number and was concerned.

Hi Eddie

If you've got SRS running on the Exchange Server it would explain the 379.

http://support.microsoft.com/?id=303180

"Note that the SRS server is hard-coded to use port 379 for Lightweight
Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) traffic, so if you choose to use an SRS
server as the Exchange endpoint, you must change the port number on the
Connection Agreement to 379. "

Not sure why you're getting the server down message. Try connecting to the
SRS database using LDP and let us know what happens.
