Just installed E2k3 two weeks ago. Ever since, we have not been able to
receive messages > 2mb. I understand that the default for Exchange is 10 mb.
I have referenced KB322679 for where to change the limits, but we are still
getting emails bounced.

Any help?

what is the exact error?
do you have a firewall that is prohibiting message size?

Here's one from a message with a 2 mb attachment:

Quote:
Hi. This is the qmail-send program at server260.com.
I'm afraid I wasn't able to deliver your message to the following
addresses.
This is a permanent error; I've given up. Sorry it didn't work out.

mbruno@tcatel.com>:
198.172.48.59 failed after I sent the message.
Remote host said: 552 4.3.1 Message size exceeds fixed maximum message
size

Here's another, don't know the attachment size on this one:

The following recipient(s) could not be reached:

mike@tcatel.com on 1/10/2005 9:48 AM
This message is larger than the current system limit or the recipient's
mailbox is full. Create a shorter message body or remove attachments and try
sending it again.
<bcs2.SKT.ICT #5.2.3 smtp; 450 5.2.3 Msg Size greater than allowed by Remote
Host>

that's strange...the error is coming from the remote server, indicating it
is the other end that is rejecting the message. i just tried a 4mb
attachment to postmaster at that domain and it went through
could be message size limit on that destination mailbox
could be the same issue with the other error or the mailbox is full. i
could say a coincidence with these two, but if it is always with 2mb+
attachements then that is strange
