Hi there,
We have 1 Ex2K3 on Win Server2K3 standard without any frontend server. It is
running smoothly at this moment.
Question 1: We intend to setup another server as a fall back or rather as
cluster and they replicate automatically. How can we set this up?
Question 2: Was it too late to setup the frontend now after the exchange
have been running for more than 3 mths. Initially, we did setup a frontend
but due to the problem with RPC-HTTP problem we drop the frontend server.
If we can setup a frontend without any problem and setup another fallback
server, it is going to cost a lot for us.(budget problem)
So expert and pro what are your best solution.
For the above, I Thank you.

Is it clustering you want to do or want not to do? You can't cluster
on your existing box, not least because the OS is Standard rather than
Enterprise.
You might want to take a look at something like Double-Take which will
replicate dissimilar systems.

You can set up an FE at any time you want. You can make the FE and BE
RPC/HTTPS roles any time you want.

The old adage holds true here. If you have to ask then you can't
afford it.

Hi Mark,
Could you kindly send me the link to Double-Take, to find out more about it.
Thank you for your respond.
