Does anyone know if a limitation was placed on the number
of rules and alerts that each mailbox can have in
exchange. Seems after the upgrade user can't use some of
thier rules and get a message about out of space/memory.

Any ideas would be great.

There's 32k available for rules in all currently shipping versions of
Exchange.
