Client connection performance [Latencies] |
|
|
Hi all,
We would like to get baseline about client responsetimes from our current
exchange server which is version 5.5. Does anyone have experience from some
kind reporting tool or monitor which I could use get performance measures
between client and server.
I have been wondered could I use loadsim as to get these kind of performance
results ?

Outlook 2003 puts in some counters that can be helpful to you for this.
Using this on the client end and then collecting that data with Perfmon can
be helpful. I would include using a network trace and check the network
utilization off the client machine to gather a lot of information I could
then correlate to something useful.

Are those counters usable with Exch 5.5?

They are last I heard. They are not recorded on the server by default like
they are if you use Exchange 2003 and Outlook 2003 together.
Latency is latency.
