Exchange in Netware Shop |
|
|
Have a client who's interested in using Exchange because of syncing
capabilities with their finance package. Their system/location specs are as
follows:
- Main office (50 people)
- Netware Small Biz 6, Groupwise 6 running on single server (very strong
server)
- 3 remote offices running same (on local servers). Groupwise connected
using MTAs via Internet (no VPN, WAN etc.)
What would be needed in order for them to use Exchange?
thanks - Jeff

Active Directory and Exchange 2003 go together as a package deal. If only
using it for a subset of people, maybe SBS product sku would be what they
need. SBS can only have one server in it's setup though, so keep that in
mind if they want multiple locations.
http://www.microsoft.com/exchange/library is a great place to get up to
speed with infrastructure and information.

How many people actually require the sync ability.
In earlier versions of Groupwise you could conect to it with
Outlook...........
Of course the best option would be to throw Groupwise out (I used to call it
"Grope in the dark & wise up" but deploying outlook in the first instance
will be a cheaper option !
