I have one Exchange 2000 server running in a domain in a forest. Recently we
bought a new company, and we want to share some resources. Our Exchange 2000
server in company A runs on Windows 2000. The AD controller in Company B
rund Windows 2003. I want Company B to have it's own domain in the same
forest as Company A.
I don't want the two firms to share GAL. They should be acting as two
separate exchange installations.

I can't find any documentation on how to configure my E2K server in the
CompanyA-domain to serve mailservices for the CompanyB-domain.

I am appreciating any response on this problem!

Hi,

There are docs on ms.com for doing hosted Exchange. This is what you want to
read up on. Essentially, you create two GALs and two address books. Users in
CompanyA have access to their GAL, and users in CompanyB have access to
theirs.
