Hello all, I can't get access at all to Exchange Explorer I get the below
error after I
say yes to the message 'This page is accessing information that is not under
it's control. This poses a security risk. Do you want to continue.' I click
yes and I get: -

'Server not available or a unrecoverable error occurred"

I can't get into exchange explorer at all, I've tried administrator accounts
as the username and pass and also accounts like exmerge which I gave access
to all accounts, I've tried going to just server/exchange and
exchange/mailbox using the mailbox I'm trying to get to's username and
password.

What access do I need exactly, or is this not a permissions problem?

I had sbs2003 and ran in the Transition Pack to move to Server 2003

I've tried the below url's for all the above usernames.

http://server1/exchange/mailbox
http://server1/exchange/mailbox/folder
http://server1/public
https://server1/exchange/mailbox
https://server1/exchange/mailbox/folder
https://server1/public
http://server1.domain.local/exchange/mailbox
http://server1.domain.local/exchange/mailbox/folder
http://server1.domain.local/public
https://server1.domain.local/exchange/mailbox
https://server1.domain.local/exchange/mailbox/folder
https://server1.domain.local/public

Any help would be greatly appreciated, I need to put in an event sink asap
and it's been waiting about 3 months and can't wait any longer!

Thanks

Hi,

By Exchange Explorer, do you by chance mean Outlook Web Access?

I think this might fix this for you. In IE, under Tools | Internet Options
| Security, you can select "Enable" for accessing data across domains.

Please post back here if this does not solve the problem for you.

Umm I've heard some reference to it being related in some ways to OWA but
it's actually for adding Event Scripts to mailboxes or folders in mailboxes.
It's a GUI app so that you don't need to use the 'reg csripts' command line
options.

It comes with the 'Exchange SDK Development tools' supplied by MS.

I've tried what you said and unfortunatly got the same error, have you any
further ideas?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the information; I've not used this tool before. Since it is
from the Exchange 2000 SDK, I'm not sure if it can be used against Exchange
Server 2003. I'll see if I can find any more information on this and post
back here if I can. In the meantime, perhaps registering scripts from the
command line might be the way to go.

Thanks Scott,

The MS site tells me that the 2000 tools do work with 2003.

Unfortunatly I don't know alot about registering my script against a
specific sub folder in my users account or alot about the sync/async
deep/shallow etc options, apparently for novists in this area 'Exchange
Explorer' is the tool to make things easier :/

Thanks again, any help is appreciated, could do with getting this one
cleared up!

Sure thing...You might also try posting your question in
microsoft.public.exchange.development to see if someone there has
encountered this before, or might know the answer for this issue.
