Hi,

When I send an e-mail the server add there info to the header, is there a
way to remove the server information in an e-mail header ?
I would like to do this so as people don't know our internal server name
etc.

Here's what I would like to remove or hide or change or whatever is possible
....

Received: from internalserver.domainname.com (unverified [10.10.10.10]) by
smtp.domainname.com (Content Technologies SMTPRS 4.3.14) with ESMTP id
<T6e53bf5b88c24e1c3a82c@smtp.domainname.com>
X-MimeOLE: Produced By Microsoft Exchange V6.5.7226.0

Thanks for your time,

Mike

I don't think so, but you can forward outbound Internet mail to a smarthost
such as your ISP's SMTP server or another server you wish to use in-house
for outbound mail.

It's pretty simple to do this with a transport event sink. I have a few
lines of VB code that can do this for you, if you're okay with taking some
performance hit (VB sinks are not suitable for very high throughput mail
relays). You also have to be a little careful with the implementation as the
headers are used to detect routing loops, and if you remove the headers,
there is the potential of looping messages.

Contact me if you need further info.
