I sent a message that did not go. It was not recieved by the user. how can I
find out why the message di dnot go the first time? I know the
seder/recipient time date ect.
I am using Excahnge server 2003 with Symantec mail security installed

you can start with some message tracking...that might tell you
something...was the recipient internal or external?

Try using the tools 'SMTPDIAG' and 'SMTP Explorer' for testing to target
server.
SMTPDIAG tells you something about the external DNS and MX record and
SMTP Explorer about the single SMTP dialogue steps.
another tool may be 'BLAT(GUY)'.
