Effects of Removing All Exchange Attributes from Contacts in |
|
|
I have a single Exchange server running Exchange 2000, within a Windows
2000-based Active Directory domain, which is also the forest root domain.
I am currently removing unnecessary contacts from the Exchange Global
Address List. So far, I have removed the 'E-mail Address' from the
contacts, which as removed the Exchange-specific tabs from the properties.
I am interested to also remove the Exchange attributes for each of the
contacts from the directory service. But, when I was running the wizard, I
was greeted with a warning message - saying that this can cause issues in an
environment with Directory synchronising setup. This setup is just two
Windows 2000 domain controllers, in a single isolated domain in a single
forest with '.local' domain and Exchange is installed on one of the domain
controllers. Will this cause any issues in this type of environment?
I look forward to any information regarding this enquiry.
Many thanks,
Neil
