I have recently installed E2K3 in mixed mode to work with our existing
Exchange 5.5. AD is running in interim mode while our NT 4 BDCs get replaced.
I have migrated a few users over to E2K3 with no problems. However, Exchange
5.5 users cannot send email to mailboxes that were created on the E2K3
server(NDR report 5.1.1). The migrated users can send to these mailboxes. Any
help is appreciated.

Thanks

Do you have an ADC (Active Directory Connector) installed? This is normally
what will replicate information between AD and the Exchange 5.5 directory so
that each directory will know about new users.

After a little more digging I have found that the new users being created are
being placed in a USER container instead of the recipient container which is
where the 5.5 users and the migrated users are placed. I also found that the
E2K3 server is actually generating the NDR and references the fact that the
recipient does not have a valid address in the organization (I assume
referencing back to the recipients container). I need to know if I can
designate new users be placed in the recipients container or can I some how
configure the site to include mailboxes stored in the Users container be
included in the organization?

Thanks again for your help.
