Is there any *easy* way to know when all replication has taken place with a
public folder migration from 5.5 to 2003?

One client has about 45GB of public folder data, and we started the
replication Saturday night. We're getting to the point where we would like to
unplug the 5.5 server (once we finish the steps to remove it from the site)
for a few days before recomissioning it elsewhere. But they have thousands of
folders, and I'd like to see if there's any utils out there that I can run to
report back and say either it's all replicated or XXX folders are not
replicated yet.

Thanks for any suggestions. This is the first migration I've done with public
folders this large, so it's the first time I went through this process. The
others were smaller, SIS wasn't an issue, and we just exmerged.

Actually, the Exchange 2003 deployment tools have a script called
pfmigrate.wsf that will do exactly what you're looking for.

I know - that's what we used to start the replication. But all it did was go
through and start the replication process and tell us when it was done with
all the folders.

The guy who ran the command evidently didn't use the reporting log file
switch.

It says to make sure replicas were created, use the /R switch. I'll try it on
site tomorrow, but do you know if that just tells me that replica folders
were created, or if they're actually done replicating?

thanks for any info, and I'll play with the /R tomorow.

OK, I have 4694 with replicas on both servers, 0 without replica on the new
server. Does that mean the folders are simply in the process or replicating,
or does that mean all nearly 50GB are already copied and complete on both?

Thanks!
