Hello

We're migrating from Exchange 5.5 to 2003. I've been using Exmerge to
periodically bring the migrated mailboxes up to date, which mostly works.
However, on a number of mailboxes, Exmerge repeatedly fails with the store
permissions error (above). I have followed the KB articles suggesting that
the account running Exmerge should have send and receive permissions on the
2003 store, but this error is still thrown up.

I'm curious as to why Exmerge works for most mailboxes, but not all. (The
mailboxes in question do not have mismatched names, i.e. directory name not
equal to alias name). In addition, it eventually worked on 2 of these
mailboxes, but continues to fail on the others.

Advice appreciated,

Loftus.

I'm curious as to the process you used/are using to "migrate". Why do you
need to "periodically bring the migrated mailboxes up to date"?

We're doing a side-by-side (not join site) migration. The 5.5 servers took
days to transfer, being fairly big. We will need to switch everyone over to
the new servers in one go, and want to make sure that people don't lose mail
in the process. We're hoping to switch this week, but some mailboxes will
not update.

I used the mailbox migration wizard to perform the initial migration; ADMT
was used to handle the user accounts.

Thanks,

Loftus.
