Native mode |

What is the exact criteria for going over to Native mode in Exchange 2003
Have new Forest \
my domain is all 2003 and houses the first Exchange Server in the Forest
My domain is a child domain 1 under the root (empty)
I have used ADC to import info from an Exchange 5_5 server but that server
is not part of my AD structure it is a NT domain
Can I switch to Native mode and still use ADC to the old NT/Exch 5_5
domain.?
What advantages do I gain?
Thanks,
BillB

Native mode in 2003 is pretty simple, no more Exchange 5.5 servers in the
Organization. You can still run Exchange 2000 or 2003 nicely.
So, no Native Exchange mode until 5.5 is gone for your current Org.
Cheers,
Rod

Rodney,
From what you say below I believe I am ready to convert to Native Mode
There are no Exchange 5_5 servers in the Organization
New Forrest New Exchange Org consisting of only a front-end 2003 server and
a Clustered 2003 back-end.
My question now is will I be able to use ADC to possibly to import info from
an Exchange 5_5 server not in the organization (if I setup a temporary trust
to domain outside AD Forest)
Thanks for your help in advance,
BillB

ADC via a trust, which means different organization. So, go to Native mode!
