I installed exchlab organization on a windows/exch 2003 box that is also
first forest and domain.

Then I installed exchange 2003 two-node (active/passive) and have joined
exchlab organization. These two nodes are not domain controllers, they are
just member servers.

Initially I forgot to run domainprep after running forestprep. I had
problems creating mailboxes. The mailboxes just don't appear.

I then ran domainprep. this time the mailboxes do appear after creating thru
AD (thou I still have problems with mailbox on first mailbox store)

The problem on Cluster nodes are that I dont 'get to start Mailbox store. I
get event ids 9546, 9519 and 8213.

Did i miss anything while installing? Like installing with account that
doesn't have enterprise permission?

Should the solutin be uninstall and reinstall? if i have to uninstall should
i uninstall on cluster and the first exchange computer?

I also dont' see Administrative groups on any of Exchange 2003 servers.

Your input will be appreciated. Thanks

Thanks Anderson for replying to my question.

The progress bar quickly goes to 66% and hangs, while mounting MStore.
Neither can I stop SA or IS services.

Should my Cluster nodes be DCs?

The description of 9546 ID is:
"Failed to create the Event Registration Mailbox for Database First Storage
Group\mailbox Store (CL-EXH01), Error - 0xbf69"

I looked Microsoft support site and it talks verifyiing recipient policy,
which I did.

I cleared all the event logs to filter the errors pertaining to the problem.
This is the only event ids popping up.

Event ID: 8213
Source: MSExchangeFBPublish
System attendant service failed to create session for virtual machine
CL-EXCH01. The error number is 0xc103073a

Hi Richard,

No, your cluster nodes don't have to be DC's.
Keep in mind there are several reasons for the events thrown.

1) Check if your TCP/IP configuration has a valid internal DNS configured,
verify if this server is registering itself on the DNS. If this is the cause,
point the right DNS and then restart the netlogon service;

2) Check if yours DC's also are configured with a valid DNS server. Verify
if your DC's are registering themself on the DNS and test it: "nltest
/dsgetdc /gc"

3) Verify if you have a DC holding the RID Master role;

I hope this help!

Thank you Andy. It was a DNS problem, which I corrected.

The only problem is I can't see mailboxes created under "first storage
group" on any of these exchange servers. If I create a second storage group,
the mailboxes are visible.

Is there any policy? Or should I have to modify any attribute?
