ExBPA doesn't show report |
|
|
Today I tried the Exchange Best Practices Analyzer. The servers are seen,
but the reports show nothing. The Run Time Log has an error just after the
entries for Completed Collecting Data phase and Loading rule processor.
"Error Pivot name 'FirstNode' referenced by rule '_rule_114' in input file is
not defined while running
Microsoft.Exchange.Core.Reliability.SupportTools.ExDiag.Execute+ExecuteStep."
Recently the Exchange Enterprise Servers, Exchange Services, and Exchange
Domain Servers groups were moved from the USERS container and I am trying to
research the ramifications, besides Application log error messages, of this
change. I was thinking that this tool might help.

Hi Cathy,
The special Exchange groups (e.g. Exchange Domain Server, Exchange Enteprise
Servers, etc) should never be moved out of the Users container. Once moved,
Exchange servers will start randomly failing with permissions errors.
For the ExBPA error, does this happen every time you run the tool? If so,
can you send the output XML file to exbpafb@microsoft.REMOVETHIS.com please
and we'll investigate.
Thanks!
