Hi guys
We have a annoying problem with OWA that seems to have appeared from nowhere
and for no particular reason, let me explain:
We have two seperate Windows server 2003 networks, each has it's own forest
and their is no trust between the forests. Each forest DNS server contains a
stub zone for the other forest.
We run Exchange Server 2003 standard edition SP1 on a single Server 2003 box
which is published behind a ISA 2000 server. All our Outlook 2003 and POP3
clients are connecting perfectly, mail is flowing.
Our curriculum network (where the Exchange & ISA box is hosted) can access
OWA perfectly, at home staff can access OWA perfectly (via the web). From
our other 2003 Network (Admin) users are being constantly prompted for
authentication. If they enter their account details in the correct format ie
domain\username they can eventually view their mail.
Now call my users fussy but they don't like entering their username /
password twenty times to read an email and I am begining to see their point
of view. The admin network is new and I have admin access to both networks.
For clarity staff have been able to access their email from the new admin
network at some point, the multiple authentication request is new. I am not
the only admin for the admin network.
I have googled but hey OWA works from home, from the curriculum network but
not the admin network. Any ideas why?

I had this problem too,
Call it a fix call it a workaround.
I added the site address to Trusted Sites zone and ensured the trusted sites
zone logged on with the current user.
Its doing it because its authenticating to all the components every time.
This maybe because of the link between your isa box and owa site, are you
using NTLM auth and is the owa site configured with that too?
My owa box is directly attached to the dmz of our firewall for owa access
using ssl.
