Yes, you'll need to do Exchange forestprep and domainprep, although the
setup would do it for you if forgot to do it.

We have 4 x W2K DC's (latest SP's) and 2 x E2K servers (latest SP's) - all
native mode. We would like to upgrade and consolidate to E2K3 within same
org name etc.
Our high level plan is :
1. Inplace upgrade all W2K-DC's to W2K3-SP1 (via adprep)
2. Introduce new W2K3/E2K3 server member server with SP1 into existing
Exch
org.
3. Use move mailbox to move from mbx from E2K to E2K3 server
4. Remove E2K servers.
My main questions are:
1. Do I also need to do an Exch forestprep & domainprep before I introduce
new E2K3 server into E2K org?
2. Is there anything else major I need to consider ?
Any thoughts or comments would be fab
Thanks
