Hi all! :-)

When appointments in my Outlook calendar are marked as 'private' they are
not visible to other users browsing my shared calendar. Giving the delegated
right "Show private items" makes them visible to other users but still not
readable - the user just sees that there is a private appointment but he
cannot see the headline of the item or even open the item to read it fully.
I would like to give certain users the right to view also my private
appointments. Is there any way I can do this? Since now I feel like MS
really means 'private' when they say 'private'. :-)

Greetings

Sven

Tools/Options/Delegates
Check the box allowing the specfic delegate rights to view private items.

Hi Andy,

thank your for your answer. As I already wrote in my posting, enabling the
checkbox in the delegation window only enables the user to "see" the private
appointment in my shared calendar. Before this he doesn't even "see" the
calendar item marked as a private appointment - in other words, my shared
calendar appears blank to him, even if there is private appointment on that
day.

After delegating him the right to see my private appointments as you
suggested (and as I mentioned before), the appointments appear with the
headline saying "private appointment". But the user still cannot see the
content of the appointment. Thats what I'm looking for.

I absolutely found nothing about that on internet so I asume it isn't
possible at all to make users read my private appointments?

Regards,

Sven
