I have schedule daily maintence and database on Exchange 2000. I need to
defrag local drive C: and D: would there be a problem with the data logs and
stores?

Daily!
You shouldn't really need to do this any more often than quarterly at
the most. Why so often? |

Mark, I am referring to the Disk Defragmenter on Windows 2000. I analyze both
c: and d: drive and both need to be defrag. Is there a problem defraging
while exchange is running? Also this will not effect the stores or log files?

I know what you meant and still question daily!
You can do it without problems to logs and stores, although make sure
the backup doesn't kick in during the defrag run.
Still can't see why you want to defrag daily. |
