Exchange 2003 Local Mail |
|
|
Hopefully someone can help me. I am trying to setup an Exchange server 2003.
I have another company host my mail witha pop3 connection. I was wondering
if there was a way to allow them to host the mail and pull the mail down
locally to the exchange server for people to access. This way if my server
goes down, the main server will still be getting mail and we can access it
through a POP3 connection.

We do exactly what you want to do! What we do is we have exchange
installed on one of the servers obviously, then on that server I have
Outlook installed. From that I setup all the pop accounts in outlook and
have it download the mail that way. Once it makes it to the inbox in
Outlook, I have rules to distribute to Public Folders that is how my
users get their incoming mail. |
