Hi,

If an Exchange 2003 Server has an SMTP smart host relay of a MailMarshal
Server which then has a smart host of another mail relay server which then
does the sending of the email to the foreign mail server, which one does the
dns resolution for the foreign domain name?

I believe it would the last mail relay server but I would like this
confirmed if possible.

Thanks,

Simon

The last server in the hop should do the DNS lookup.
