Exchange install |
|
|
Hello Group
Should I be able to install exchange 2003 on a windows 2003 member server
that is not a DC and has not got active directory on?
And does anybody know of any guides to basic config settings for exchange
2003 install on windows 2003 server?
Any help would be grateful.
Cheers Pete Thompson

Yes, you can install Exchange 2003 on a member server in your domain - this
is generally preferred over installing it on a domain controller.
What sorts of things are you looking for? Are you very familiar with
Exchange 2000? It's not much different... |

Thats for the response
I never used exchange 2000 went from exchange 5.5 to 2003.
Looking for anything really on basic config for windows 2003 standard and
exchange 2003.

It's not recommended - you can do it, but I'd try to avoid it if possible. |

Check out www.msexchange.org for some great articles/tutorials. Also

I don't have an article handy, but this is what I've always heard. I've
never tried it myself.
