We have been struggling with this problem for a few weeks now. Working with
Blackberry, and their support team. Their "answer" is for us to implement a
BB server in each of our remote locations to resolve the problem. I'm not
sure I buy that :)

Details:
- Blackberry Enterprise Server 4.0 running on it's own
- 5 Exchange Server 2003 with SP1 sites in 5 Geographical locations
- Latency between sites is around 200 to 300 ms (typical for asiapac,
europe, etc)

Problem:
- Delivery of BB messages can take anywhere from 5 minutes up to several
hours.

According to BB, if you are dealing with latencies of over 35 ms, then you
need to have a local bb server. Now, we have been working with this
configuration for several years now with minimal issues (even upgraded from
5.5 to 2003 late last year :).

Any Help would be appreciated

Problem is that the delivery of blackberry messages can take up to several
hours to complete. According to blackberry, there is a 35 ms latency maximum
with their BES server and their suggestion is to implement a bes server in
each location. That's not feasible for us, and I would like to know if
anyone else with this type of setup is having the same challenges.

Tks.

We went through this as well. We had to put the BES servers local to the
exchange stores for this very reason. Latency is a major issue, given all
that the BES has to keep track of.

We have had similar issues, and the only stable solution has been multiple
BES servers. We have 4 servers covering 7 sites....
