Incoming mail rejected for exchange 2003 |
|
|
We have exchange 2003 running on a server 2000 domain controller. I added a
second exchange 2003 running on server 2003, not a domain controller to the
same domain. This was joined as with the existing server. I was successful in
moving over the mailboxes using Exchange tasks. However, we can not receive
email from outside. The following NDR:

what have i missed?

do you have a recipient policy that is defined per by server so that the new
mailbox's email addresses are something like mdardis@server.xxxxxx.org?

No, we do not have a recepient policy that refers to
mdardis@server.xxxxx.org. The original recipient policy is the only one.

did you change any of the default settings on your SMTP Virtual Server to
require authentication? If you look at the mailbox for mdardis and look at
the email addresses, does it match what it you are trying to send to?
