I want to design an application in vb.net that will allow me to read an email
then move or send an automatic reply. I will also be exectuing some other
code on the contents of the email and also create a new post in a public
folder.

What is the best connection method i should use to access the exchange
database. I would also like to buy a book on this so if you could also
recomened a book that would help.

thanks

Jeremy

I think that your application will be not base on database access.
You have to use CDO or WebDAV or other technology.

I recommend you to use WebDAV.
Good start will be Exchange SDK documentation

If you need WebDAV API for Exchange server,
use our component WebDAV .NET for Exchange.
