New OWA 5.5 server, change default website URL to be that of |

I've built a new OWA 5.5 server on a W2K platform now running in AD to
replace the NT4 server. To have as little impact on the users as
possible I wanted to use the same IP and URL for the new OWA. Because
OWA creates the default url to be
http://servername.mycompany.com/exchange I don't know if it's
possible. The new server is running IIS 5.0. I've checked every
setting, and have read through various posts but none ask this
question. How do I get the default site to be:
http://whatever.mycompany.com/exchange
instead of the default
http://servername.mycompany.com/exchange
If this is important, I also have new SSL cert, that I need to apply,
issued for the name that I want, not the name OWA creates by default.
If there is a solution to my problem, then how would the cert be
applied.
Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Create an A record in DNS for http://whatever.mycompany.com/exchange
that points to the ip address of the server.
The cert is tied to the FQDN in DNS of the server, not its actual
name.
