Re: Firewall ports for Exchange 2003 connectivity |

Not a recommended setup. An Exchange FE has been optimized for DMZ
situations but not a regular backend/mailbox server.
The list of ports will be extensive that one would wonder why bother at all.
What are you trying to achieve by putting the Exchange box in a DMZ?

I have a Active Directory domain controller (LAN) and a Exchange 2003
server
(DMZ network) seperated by a firewall.
The Exchange server is currently a member of the Active Directroy domain.
What ports should i allow from Exchange to the AD and vice-versa?
Another question,
I need Outlook 2003 client which in the LAN to access the Exchange 2003 in
the DMZ network. What ports in the firewall should i allow and vice-versa?
Thank You ;)
