Accessing Exchange Private and/or Public Store OFFLINE |

There is a recovery program called OnTrack PowerControls, which essentially
let's you access Exchange database files offline in cases such as when you
only have access to the tapes with the store backup on it. It allows brick
level recovery of items stored in an unmounted store.
The program is entirely overpriced, and you're still limited to only 250
mailboxes.
I would like to develop an alternative to this program in-house, however, I
have been unable to find any SDK documentation or anything in the knowledge
base, MSDN, or on Google concerning accessing these files offline. If
Ontrack can do it, certainly I should be able to. Does anyone have any idea
where I might find such documentation? Thanks.
