They can be the same, or they can be different. Outlook 2003 includes the
ability to create (by default) Unicode PST's that are not subject to the 2gb
PST limit. Exmerge (and previous versions of Outlook) created ANSI format
PST files that could only be 2gb. The other consideration is that when you
use Exmerge to import a PST file, the name of the PST file *must* match the
directory name of the user. If it does not match, the import will fail.
This should be referenced in the Exmerge document that is included with the
download.
