EXOLDB : event binding |
|
|
First off I need to admit that I am not a developer, but I am trying to
troubleshoot this error that comes up on a E2K3 box *only* at startup.
It does not seem to present any other errors, but I still need to solve
it. Can someone maybe point me in the right direction? It seems there
is (was) a sink (?) before? I checked the spec public folder and asked
around, if I can "get rid off" the OnSyncSaveDeleteEventRegistration
would be OK too.
Things is I haven't the vaguest where to start looking, let alone
"de-register" it.
Event Type: Error
Event Source: EXOLEDB
Event Category: Events
Event ID: 103
Date: 22/10/2005
Time: 01:56:01
User: N/A
Computer: ****
Description:
Microsoft Exchange OLEDB was unable to initialize the event binding for
file://./backofficestorage/***.co.***/Public
Folders/SupportSystem/OnSyncSaveDeleteEventRegistration. BindingID = ,
HRESULT = 0x80004005.
*Any* help would be greatly appreciated!

Hello,
you can deregister it with the regevent.vbs. You can find this script in the
Exchange SDK Tools.

Re: EXOLDB : event binding |

Thanks!
I used the vbs tool with enum, and some of the sinks I could at least
identify, though most of them give me a "Error Opening Connection :
-2146105340" error. I thought this might have to do with the fact that
I didn't have permissions on those folders (they do not appear in my
OL, but on ESM I can see the folder, and there I gave myself explicit
permissions, same error though).
If I dump these specific folders to pst, will the event sinks disappear
with them?
Any other ideas maybe?

Re: EXOLDB : event binding |

Hi Henning,
OK I have succeeded in enum & deleting most of the 9 applicable events,
except for:
1) Two events that don't seem to have any tables... What now? Error is:
Error Executing Query : -2147217865 Table does not exist. How the heck
do I remove a sink from a table that does not exist any more?
2) One folder still does not give me any access, I cannot see that
folder in the list: /Public
Folders/NON_IPM_SUBTREE/StoreEvents{E451CA75-7C64-4B7D-9406-4B974043C950.
I can see the one referring to
StoreEvents{E451CA75-7C64-4B7D-9406-4B974043C950, but no
NON_IPM_SUBTREE. Am I missing something?
Thanks in advance
