Detail Template customization |
|
|
Hello,
I've customized the detail templates in our Exchange 2003 organization. As
we've had several attributes added to the schema I had to set mAPIIDs for
those attributes in order for them to show up in Outlook.
Everything is fine except for two attributes (that are part of the regular
attributes in AD: houseIdenfitier and OtherTelephone). Even though they now
both have a mAPIID (had to ad one to houseIdentifier) and even though I've
been able to add them to the template in ESM, the field shows no value in
Outlook (the value is filled in in AD).
I've checked the schema for those attributes and found out that the 'Show in
Advanced view' was not checked. I've checked it for both attributes to no
avail.
Both attributes are replicated to Global Catalogs (changed that for
houseIdentifier).
Any idea what the cause of the problem is?
Thanks.
David.

Thanks for the help Sue,
It doesn't have anything to do with the cached mode I'm afraid. We're not
using cached mode here.
Anyway I've found a workaround to the issue:
I'm now using the ms-Exch-House-identifier in place of HouseIdentifier
(still haven't figured out why HouseIdentifier value doesn't show up in
Outlook...)
The issue with OtherTelephone was due to the fact that the attribute is
multivalued and that I used an 'Edit' control to display it. Now that I've
switched to a MultiValue control it is ok and shows the value in Outlook.
