All,
I need to write instructions for machines to turn off first and last during
a power outage (our systems have battery-backups that last for almost 2
hours). The way we set up our clusters, it is best to shut down the
inactive cluster members first before the active ones. Has anyone come up
with a slick way to make it visibly apparent from the outside of the server
(assuming a monitor is not attached to it) that it is the active one? Maybe
someone found a way to make one of the LEDs light up or something? Just
wondering.

Thanks,
Pair

I suppose you could write a script to run when your cluster fails over to
fiddle with the display if its a dell or some of the compaqs with lcd's...
