This weekend I will upgrading Exchange 2000/Windows 2000 A/P CLusters to
2003. I know I need to upgrade the Front End first. I know I need to upgrade
Exchange prior to upgrading Windows. I understand that I will upgrade the
passive node before failing over to the first node and upgrading that one.
I'm really looking for gotcha's that are not as obvious. I've looked at the
logs on the servers and they appear to be relatively clean. Is there anything
else to watch out for besides removing the old cluster account from the Store
permissions tab?

Hi,

do you really want to do inplace upgrade? Consider buying spare or temporary
servers for upgrade...

Why??
It's really not an option right now.

That is an easy question to answer. Because it is a high availability
environment and you should do everything possible to keep the servers
pristine and to manage them well. When upgrading from one OS to another,
there are always pieces of the old OS floating around. Granted, there should
not be any problems caused because of it, but I have seen problems in the
past and I am not willing to risk my HA environments to a risk that I can
eliminate completely.

Yes but, an upgrade will work right. That is why MS has upgrade paths. You
can't always start out fresh and clean everytime. I'm looking for information
on upgrades not clean installs.

Thanks.
