Supposedly there is a way to set delivery notification on our SMTP servers in
Exchange 2003. We cannot find it. We are not trying to enable receipt
notification.

Note: We are not worried about directory harvesting since we use an
anti-spam tool on the front end. The above is also to enable internal e-mail
delivery notifications working from 3rd party e-mail engines.

Thanks for your help in advance,

Ed

Hi Ed,

Thank you for the input.

Regarding my experience, controlling delivery reports is configured under
Global Settings, which affects all the SMTP Virtual Servers in the org.

To do so:

1. Start Exchange System Manager.
2. Expand Global Settings -> Internet Message formats.
3. Right-click Default in the right pane, and select Properties.
4. On the Advanced tab, check the "allow delivery reports" check box.

Hope this helps!

Thanks and have a nice day!

Best Regards,
Alan Sun
