Hello all,

Here a weired issue with SMTP connectors, i will be very thankful if anyone
can tell me something about it:


I have configured 2 Exchange 2003 Servers.
Each Server is in a separate Routing Group.
The routing group connectors are not created because we dont want internal
messaging between servers.
The first server (SERVER1) has an SMTP connector that rejects connections
from a "NoInternetMail" group. Members of this group with mailbox on this
server cannot send messages to the internet.
When we create the SMTP connector on SERVER2, we add the same restriction to
"NoInternetMail" group.
After adding the connector all users with mailbox on SERVER2 were able to
send messages to internet users regardless of the restriction.
Users with mailboxes in SERVER1 cannot send internet mail, users with
mailboxes in SERVER2 can.
The connectors are created with the same parameters and restriction.


We need that the restriction applies for both servers
Any clue?

- Are your groups Distribution Groups?
- Do both servers have the registry key required to enable checking for
Delivery Restrictions?

Our problem was that SERVER2 has not the registry key
Now its working fine
