On users I had that problem, it was all related to user rights..
By looking in the LOGBOOK entrys, and the links to Microsoft we solved the
issues..
So, use the logbook (both exchange server!!)

| Quote: | Hello,
I have recently installed Exchange 2003 server to our existing Exchange
organization with one Exchange 2000 server (Exchange 2000 native mode).
Both
servers are members of the same admin group and the same routing group.
The original Exchange 2000 server hosts a connector and its SMTP connector
is configured to disallow any relaying (Default SMTP Virtual Server
Properties> Access tab> Relay allows only computers listed there to relay,
the new Exchnage 2003 server is not listed there). Users on the old server
can send both internal and external e-mails.
Users on the new Exchnage 2003 server can send internal mail, but receive
the NDR error when mailing outside of the organization: "You do not have
permission to send to this recipient (...) _server_name_#5.7.1 smtp;550
5.7.1 Unable to relay for _external_recipient_address_"
The only way to allow external mail to be sent from the new Exchnage 2003
server is to put its IP address on the list of computers
allowed to relay through the old server. Should I be needing to do this?
Thanks in advance for all help.
Magda
