Hello,

I'm in the process of migrating from 5.5 to E2K3. My company is a service
provider and we host messaging for multiple clients in a shared exchange 5.5
environment.

I have a test lab configured and have been running through some tests for
migrating from 5.5 to E2K3. If anyone has a good example of how custom
address lists should be setup I would appreciate your response. I have been
testing using custom ldap queries which have worked "ok" but thought I'd ask
the news group if anyone can provide examples of ldap queries they are using
that works well.

One example i have been testing is as follows:
1. Restricted access to default global address list.
2. Created new global address list for company XYZ.com
3. Updated ldap query using adsiedit.msc.
4. In adsiedit went to configurations, expanded services -> Microsoft
Exchange -> org name -> address lists container -> all global address
lists -> XYZ.
5. Selected properties, updated purportedSearch with the following query -
(&(objectClass=*)(mail=*@xyz.com))

This works ok and returns all mailboxes and distributionlists but what about
contacts (custom recipients)? Should I be using universal groups or global
groups to hold all the mail objects i wish to return in the gal?

Thanks for the help!
