Can someone help me out, this happened last time when I applied Service Pack
1 to my Exchange 2003 cluster.

Do I use the same steps as before?

Cluster res "<your system attendent resource name" /priv
Resourcebuild=455081984

We tried this and it will not let the system attendant come back online.

Do I need to use a different Resourcebuild number?

Eric -

You shouldn't need to manually set ResourceBuild private property -- that is
basically a way of "fooling" the server into thinking that it needs the
upgrade when the natural course of events doesn't indicate that it does
(ie - upgrading from a beta release to the final version can sometimes
exhibit this behavior).

That said, what are the events regarding the SA failing to come online? With
the ResourceBuild overridden to the old number, did it cause the "Upgrade
Exchange Virtual Server" action to appear? Did you carefully follow
KB.867624 (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/867624) for the upgrade steps to
SP2?
