Is there a way to share the addressbooks between Domino and Exchange. This is
not a case of a mixed environment mail system. This is between a company that
was recently purchased and one runs a mix of Exchange2003 and 5.5 and the
other is Domino 6.5.4. These are two diferent mail domains and I'd like to
try and keep them seperate. But there is a need to simplfy communicatons and
the question has been posed about linking the addressbooks somehow. I've read
about he connectors but the docs all speak from a standpoint of a single
mixed mail system. These are two seperate entities that are looking for a
smoother way to communicate.

Any ideas?

Implement the Exchange Connector for Lotus Notes. It has a directory
synchronisation element to it. Start here (watch for a wrapped URL):

I read that doc and it keeps referring to implementing Exchange into a Domino
envirnment. I'm just trying to link two seperate envronemts. One is a
Microsoft shop and the other is a Novell and Notes structure. The notes
system is a completeley different email domain.

Company 1 Us.company1.com

company 2 Company2.com

Company2 has no other access to Company1. We aren't part of Company1's
forest at all. Would the connector still work. Also from that doc I would
have to use an Exchange system as my inbound SMTP gateway. I'm trying to keep
Exchange completley out of Company2's infrastructure if at all possible.

I would suggest looking at a solution like Simple Sync.

Works perfect and has been around for a long time.
