I use cdoex, within an application,to create messages on behalf of my users
and store them into their mailboxes. I'd like to know the exact set of
properties I should set to make the sent message exactly the same as if it
were created by Outlook. At the moment messages saved into the 'Sent items'
store are not treated as read-only but they can be modified.

Thanks

How are you sending the messages are you sending using exchange eg
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/wss/wss/_cdo_sending_using_exchange.asp

To make a email appear to outlook as if its been sent usually you need to
set the PR_message_flags http://schemas.microsoft.com/mapi/proptag/x0E070003
property. Depending on the message content the value is usually 3 on a sent
message (this is for a normal messae with no attachments). You might want to
look at using mdbvu32 or Outlookspy to have a look at the message's
yourself.

Cheers
Glen
