Extracting Calendar data directly from Exchange2K |
|
|
I have a client who uses their calendars to book holidays etc. I need to
extract this calendar information from the Exchange2K server and insert it
into a resource management database on SQLServer2K.
I am given to understand that I can make a SQL like query on the exchange
server.. I often create SQLServer views to extract data from other
databases, is there a way to do this to extract the data from Exchange?
If not, I assume I will have to write a small application (probably in VB)
that connects to Exchange and SQLServer and transfers the data. Can someone
suggest the best way to do this, DAO, MAPI, LDAP or something else.
I cannot install anything on any of their client PCs, so this must be a
totally server side solution.
Many thanks
Phil
