RE: Exchange 2003 Migration Help |

First off - Your situation is much more complex than you think (or wrote).
An W2K3/AD Migration and Exchange Migration are two seperate beasts. You're
better off completing the former then taking on the later.
My Recommendation: (depending on your level of exp.)
- Pick up some books on these two events, and read a lot of Case Studies.
- Take an MS Training Course; or two (and ask lots of questions)
- Break-down and get an MS Consultant/Firm to help you.

Initially I had 1 PDC running Windows NT and 3 BDCs running Windows NT 4
, 1 member server running on Exchange 5.5 on a NT 4 platform.
Also 1 SQL server on Windows 2000 platform. And 2 Citirix server running
on Windows 2000 platform
1) I took a BDC offline and then demoted the PDC to BDC
2) Promoted a BDC to a PDC and did an inplace upgrade of Windows 2003
3) I then created 2 more Windows 2003 Boxes and transferred the FSMO
roles to one of them
4) I dcpromed the upgraded box and move it off the network
I have issues now
1) How do I remove the live BDC and the one I took offline also they are
showing as Domain Controllers in Windows 2003 AD?
2) How to I upgrade my Exchange 5.5 to Exchange 2003 on a Windows 2003
box?
For Exchange 2003 I wish to insert a Exchange 2003 as part of the same
organisation and then remove the 5.5 box ..
Do I need to use the ADC connector and if so how do I set it up?
