mail rejected when sending or replying to exchange server |

I am using exchange server 2003. This is configured with a pop connector to
get email from an isp for the individual exchange accounts. The mail is
received by the pop3 connector at the ISP but not delivered to the exchange
users mailbox. the email is always rejected by saying -
This is an automatically generated Delivery Status Notification.
Delivery to the following recipients failed.
mspop3connector.user@mydomainname.com
I'm not sure where the mspop3connector is coming from.
This error has started after I was having trouble with IIS, I uninstalled
it, reinstalled iis,,reinstalled exchange per kb article (couldn't find #)
reapplied sp1, sp2 and prerequisites.
