Would appreciate any help with this one..

I've used the ORFiler before with the SMTP Connector and found it to be
excellent (and free!).

However the support is not there for the product now, and it is hard to find
anyone who can give me a hand with setting this up with the POP3 Connector
on SBS2003.

I know it is possible as there are people on the ORFilter Forum who have
done it....

Can anyone out there tell me exactly how to get it working with a POP3
Connector...?

Regards
Colin

Might want to post in microsoft.public.windows.server.sbs for help with the
POP connector (it isn't part of Exchange, and isn't recommended anyway).
You can buy ORFEE for a reasonable price from Vamsoft - it's a very good
product. It won't work with your POP connector setup, though, as far as I'm
aware. Any reason you feel you need to stick with POP? If you have a
registered domain name, you probably don't need to do this.

I'd rather not use the POP3 Connector, but that is what our email provider
has given us... We have two domains hosted by them, and to get our email
down to our SBS2003 Exchange server, we connect using the POP3 Connector....

Is there another way I can do this...?, because if I could somehow use the
standard SMTP that would be ideal...

You don't need an email provider. You have your own mail server. All you
need is a decent Internet connection and someone to change the domain's
public DNS so the MX records point mail at your server.

http://www.msexchange.org/tutorials/MF002.html explains how this works. You
can even do it with a dynamic public IP (see www.dyndns.org for one option).

See above. Note that since you're using SBS you will want to use the CEICW
(configure email/internet wizard) to do the setup....SBS is very
wizard-centric. Try posting in microsoft.public.windows.server.sbs for more
help.
