JetStress questions |
|
|
1) When I try to run it, it tells that it requires at least 488 Gb. Why? Can
I run it on a smaller disks?
2) It's hard to run it because nearly every attempt to enter database path
results in exception:
See the end of this message for details on invoking
just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just in time (JIT) debugging, the config file for this
application or machine (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.
For example:
<configuration>
<system.windows.forms jitDebugging="true" />
</configuration>
When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the machine
rather than being handled by this dialog.

Re: JetStress questions |

Dmitry- Please make sure you are running the latest version of Jetstress
(released December 7, build 06.05.7745) which contains a fix for the "Index
was outside the bounds of the array" exception.
Regarding your question about the 488GB requirement, the disk space required
to run the test is calculated based on the number of mailbox and mailbox
size limit that you enter in the test parameters, plus some additional
overhead for database file growth during the test. What were the parameters
that you used for the test (# of mailboxes and mailbox size limit)?
Thanks,
Jeff

1) Yes, it is 6.5.7745.
2) Are these options located on the second and third tab? I am unable to
switch tabs - Jetstress returns to the first tab.

Yes, those options are on the other tabs. You have to fill in the disk
configuration completely before switching to the next tab (the controls on
the other tabs need some of the drive information that is provided on the
first tab). Make sure that you have entered disk and log paths for all
configured storage groups.

I was facing the same "Index was outside the bounds of the array" problem. But the diffrence was that the test was running successfully and the problem will come only while generating the test report. I installed the new jetstress version and my problem got solved . |
