Re: Move OWA to new FE's |

OWA functionality isn't moved to FEs or removed.
Simply point uses to the fqdn or virtual/load-balanced IP address of your
front-end servers after you have them configured as FEs.
Extra config required for using load-balancers/SSL appliances when SSL is
offloaded from FEs, so proper headers get passed on to the BEs.

| Quote: | We're working on a large migration from a small E2K3 environment (20
mailboxes)to a fairly large one (2500 mailboxes).
Current setup:
Single E2K3/W2K3 server serving as OWA and mailbox server.
Running SSL and forms-based authentication.
Desired setup:
Have set up two new E2K3/W2K3 servers that will be front end servers with
an
f5 load balancing appliance in front of them; f5 will also be used for
offloading SSL processing.
Have also set up two clustered E2K3/W2K3 back end servers for
mailboxes/public folders.
Problem:
How do I move the OWA functionality off the current stand alone server to
the new front end servers and f5 appliance with minimal disruption to
users?
I will move the mailboxes later to the clustered back end and I'm not
worried
about how to do that.
Any suggestions are appreciated.
