This the preferred setup actually. For security it is always best to name
your internal windows domain different than your registered external domain
name. Typically it set to Internal- mydomain.local.com and External
mydomain.com. Now because these are different then to receive External mail
to your registered domain you will add the domain (external) to your Default
Recipient Policy. Here is link explaining,
