Outlook and OWA Synch |
|
|
Hello,
Our company have an Exchange 2003 with sp2 on W2k3 sp1. Its already running
normally. We are using OWA and POP access for our mails without any problem.
Some ppl needs to use both outlook and owa. here comes the problem. for
example when i send an e-mail from outlook its not being listed in owa. is
this issue because of pop access or is there any tip to sync both side?
Thanks for reading and helping.

If they're using POP and haven't configured their mail client to leave a
copy of the messages on the server, the mail won't stay in the mailbox.
I suggest you rethink having these (remote?) users use POP. What about RPC
over HTTP instead? |

First of all thanks for your interest.
Leaving a copy of the message is already being used. And i see that i
missed to tell some necessary information. Our exchange server is not in the
same network with our clients. I know thats not good but we need it. So our
users accessing the exchange via internet without VPN or something else.

Then the message should indeed stay in the mailbox. Have you tested this
thoroughly?

Hence, RPC over HTTP should be an option for you, since you're using
Exchange 2003. |
